Dr Katie Fanning is a Clinical Psychologist with 18 years post qualification experience within both the NHS and independent settings. She has developed specialist knowledge and experience in working with individuals with Neurodivergence both within children's and adult services.

Katie has worked within a number of locally based lead clinical roles, providing assessment, support and consultation to individuals, their families and carers, and other professionals.

Katie has focused her career developing assessment and support services that are welcoming, thorough and aimed at truly understanding individuals and their unique strengths and support needs. Her aim through NeuroKind Clinical Psychology is to build a foundation of understanding that can continue to inform support for individuals throughout their lives.

Dr Lucy Weaving is a Clinical Psychologist with 19 years NHS experience, alongside several years in the independent sector, with a specialist focus on Neurodivergence and learning disabilities across the lifespan. She is deeply committed to supporting individuals and the families and professionals around them.

Lucy's work is grounded in a neuroaffirmative, trauma-informed approach. She is particularly passionate about advocating for individuals who face discrimination or barriers to accessing appropriate care.

Lucy delivers through high quality assessments and interventions. Her practice emphasises clarity, compassion and collaboration, ensuring that every assessment leads to a meaningful understanding of strengths, needs and the adjustments that make a lasting difference.

Our Story

NeuroKind Clinical Psychology was founded by Clinical Psychologists Lucy Weaving and Katie Fanning, who first met over two decades ago while working in a residential school to support children with communication differences.

United by a shared commitment to neurodivergent individuals of all ages, and the families and carers who support them, we have developed extensive clinical experience across a wide range of NHS and independent settings based across the midlands. Over the years we have continued to deepen our specialist knowledge through advanced training and ongoing professional development, ensuring our practice remains both evidence-based and compassionate.

Neurodivergence is also an important part of our own lived experience, shaping not only our understanding but also our values as clinicians. This perspective is central to the ethos of NeuroKind Clinical Psychology.

We aim to offer a gold-standard, neuroaffirmative approach to assessment and therapeutic support - one that is thoughtful, respectful and compassionate. Above all, we strive to create a service that feels safe, empowering and truly feels like home.
